Presentation of A Community Paul Harris Award to Angela Schroeder by Brandee Ambrosia and Tina Gill. Angela started Placer High Care Closet for students, cares about student needs (such as shoes) and guides Interact kids. She is a Rotary club partner, a rotarian in action but not a club member. Also in celebration, a gift certificate to Restaurant Josephine was presented.

Mike Wilson: explained the changes in our lunch fees, decreased to $15 per week with a separate charge for facility use. Al Lombardo asks for release of financial statements so members can know where money comes from and where it goes. Members can always join in on a Finance Committee meeting.
Facility use fee will be billed every 6 months, first payment due by the end of this month.
President Nancy reviewed this magazine: The Best of the Best in Auburn. Jeff Spoor, best Heating and Air was called up to spin. Mike Holmes for best city councilman, brought to Nancy's attention by Linda Maeding who was also called up to spin. Sean Rabe told Linda, so he was called up in Linda's place. Preston Marks, Lori Tompkins for best attorney in Colfax and for Preston and Lori's husband's band.

Happy/Sad Bucks:
Linda Maeding – $20 sad bucks because hubby was hospitalized for 5 days prior to Christmas, had gall bladder removed and happy that he is doing well now. Sad for the passing of friend Linda Logoteta from cancer. Sad for the passing of Doug LaMalfa, state representative, at age 65.
Bobbi Allen - $15 happy bucks for members of our club: Gina and Oasis Landscaping, Jeff Spoor and his HVAC crew, Lori McIntosh and Linda Maeding for all their excellent help
Steve Galyardt – Happy and sad bucks: went to Springfield, MO for his stepfather's celebration of life, but was with his siblings who have not been together for over 2 years. It was 28 degrees in the midwest, making Steve happy to be HERE.
Kim McClintock - $20 Happy bucks for 6-month cancer checks that were all good. Has another 6 months to “breathe”.
Sam Frazier – Happy bucks for 6 years since his stroke. Average lifespan after such a stroke is 5 years, and Sam is happy because he has reached 6.
Bart O'Brien – happy bucks for Michelle Isheim who was his daughter's English teacher at Colfax High. Hoping the High School District can get itself straightened out because he has 2 grandkids who will be in high school in a couple of years.

Bart O'Brien – Book Buddies book due today. Books will be delivered to the school on Friday. Bart will send out an email about our Rotary book club meeting to discuss Brave the Wild River, January 21 or 22.
Nick Willick – our club is still painting at SUP. Working tomorrow and look for sign up sheet for painting tomorrow and next Wednesday.
John Donlevy – Thanked those who helped at the Gathering Inn on Christmas Eve. Over 200 Christmas Baskets to Gathering Inn and to almost 60 people from off the streets at the MTS, mobile tent shelter. Kathryn Gonzales, Gina Acia, Chris McCracken, Lori and hubby Nigel decorated the shelter, Lori Tompkins and hubby Rod grilled 30 tri-tips, Peter Konrad, Dennis Bennett, Bill, Steve Grundmeier, Rod Borges's wife Kristen and members of the Rotaract Club of the Confluence.
Steve Hart – thanked all members who helped bell ring for the Salvation Army this year. Raised $1,480.10 with the bell ringing.
